Biography

Nadja Bangoura (b.1995) is an American photographer based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Bangoura received her BA in Communication with a concentration in film and photography and is currently working on getting her master's at Old Dominion University where she received her bachelor's degree. Her projects in her career include Record Store Madness (2017), Balinese Tradition (2017), Dead End (2018), and her most recent work, Haliwa-Saponi (2019). Bangoura has had her work showcased in the juried exhibition show (2018) at the Barry Arts museum in Norfolk, Virginia and she currently has one book, Dead End that features images of sea level rise in the Hampton Roads area. Moreover, she hopes to continue this project in the near future.
